LAFM Countdown 2009 is Northern Tasmania's Premier New Year's Eve Celebration for families, couples and singles of all ages.  Featuring Australia's No. 1 Disco Showband, Countdown Explosion plus a range of over 20 roving and main stage acts, there will even be a 10m high trapeze constructed for a show and crowd participation.

Countdown has earned a reputation as being an event that can be everything to everyone.

This year we have added more food choices, rides and a prize pack to be won valued at over $5,000 and a range of new areas to enjoy.

Of course nothing beats being there to hear the music and feel the boom of the 2 huge fireworks displays.

Whether you choose to book a private suite, hang out at the new Corona Bar, chill out on the lush AFL playing surface or groove on Launceston's biggest dance floor, guests will be assured of an exciting countdown to 2009.
